This is what we did all week as holdovers during “zero week”. We slept and became mentally insane from the boredom and physical labor the drill sergeants made us do over the week while no recruits we here. This is the Charlie company barracks at Fort Jackson reception. The only good that came out of being a holdover for 3 weeks was making some awesome friendships with people all over the country that I’ll continue to be friends with. We helped each other embrace the suck of being a holdover. Most of them got medically discharged, but I wished nothing more than for them to be soldiers. I miss them so much!
